Our School
At Youth Futures Community School we understand that mainstream school isn’t for everyone. That’s why we offer young people the opportunity to complete their education in a flexible, fun and supportive environment. With schools in Albany, Caversham, Clarkson, Midland and Beechboro, Youth Futures Community School provides disengaged young people aged 15-19 with an alternative to traditional high school. Youth Futures Community School Midland and Beechboro also has a Junior campus for those aged 12-15.
The school is suited to young people who are ready for a structured classroom but with additional support. We offer our students a flexible environment where they can complete their education while getting the extra one-on-one support they need to reach their potential. This includes a large focus on personal development, work readiness, health and wellbeing. Following a model of both education and holistic care we ensuring students receive the wrap-around support needed to reach their future potential.

Australian Curriculum Framework for young people in years 8 & 9. Available at the Midland campus only.
For young people in years 10,11 & 12 we offer:
22472VIC - Certificate I in General Education for Adults
22473VIC - Certificate II in General Education for Adults
22474VIC - Certificate III in General Education for Adults
BSB20120 - Certificate II in Workplace Skills
Other short courses are available across all campuses, delivered by external providers where needed, e.g. SmartMoves Certificate, White Card, Keys For Life.
Alternative options:
For young people not quite ready to engage in on-site learning we offer a mobile classroom service called Comet Connect.
The Certificates in General Education for Adults are delivered and assessed in partnership with Futures Education and Training, RTO number 52833. Youth Futures Community School is registered as a non-government CaRE school with the WA Department of Education.
In partnership with the Motivation Foundation, we offer students the CGEA program in combination with RII20720 Certificate II in Civil Construction at a campus in West Swan
RII20720 Certificate II in Civil Construction is delivered and assessed by Australian Training Management, RTO number 2431.
