Principal's Welcome
Welcome to Youth Futures Community School (YFCS)
YFCS exists to provide an appropriate alternative setting to mainstream education for students who have been unable to successfully access education at conventional mainstream schools at Years 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.
We pride our success on the fostering of excellent relationships between school staff, students and their families. These relationships, which are based on empathy and respect, underpin the learning process. In years 8 and 9 the curriculum follows the Australian Curriculum Framework while year 10, 11 and 12 students have access to the Certificate of General Education for Adults at levels I, II and III*. The school curriculum has a particular focus on student care including a protective behaviours framework which is tailored to our students’ needs. This ensures our students receive the best possible provision of personal, social and emotional, as well as academic development.
YFCS runs a highly student centred learning model and much of the learning is student paced rather than students having to conform to an inflexible educational model, which may not suit their learning requirements. This approach supports student engagement, achievement, and personal development.
Please take time to view our website and feel free to contact us for any further information, or to organise a visit for enrolment.
I sincerely hope your visit to our website was useful and I look forward to hearing from you in the future.
